The scores are calculated according to the actual payouts at actual race tracks. However, win payouts are capped at $32, place payouts are capped at $18 and show payouts are capped at $10 unless otherwise stated in the individual tournament rules. 

Therefore, in $2 Win-Place-Show scoring, the maximum score that a player can receive in one race is $60 ($32 win, $18 place, $10 show).  

In $2 Win-Place scoring, the maximum score on one race is $50 ($32 Win, $18 Place).
